Pet Business Consulting LLC was founded by a Registered Nurse, Mary Ann Schmidt, who is also  an Environmental Biologist and Ornithologist,  and her Physician husband,  Dr. Thomas Glodek.  Since 1999, they have been providing Kennel and Dog Day Care Consulting startup services to pet care business minded individuals with a Passionate Desire for starting their own Pet Care Service Businesses.  They strive to develop successful Pet Care Service Businesses which adhere to the quality and ethical standards which are consistent with safe and humane Pet care. 

Mary Ann Schmidt RN

Mary Ann is a registered Neonatal Intensive care Nurse who participated in the very successful Peregrine Falcon release program.  Many of those Peregrines are still successfully nesting and  patrolling the skies over the High Rises of the North side of Chicago . 

Mary Ann continues to pursue a career as a registered Nurse, and she continues to be involved in environmental causes championing animal rescue operations  in Arizona. 

Thomas Glodek MD

Dr. Tom graduated from The University of Illinois and completed  a Medical Degree at  Chicago Medical School and a residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago before establishing a successful medical practice. Dr. Tom later pursued  graduate studies in Business Administration at   Kellstadt Graduate School of Management at DePaul University in Chicago with a focus on Entrepreneurship and finance.     

After graduation from College, but before pursuing a medical degree, Dr. Tom managed all internal accounting functions for  Kellogg Construction Co. Inc, an  Architectural Design and General Construction Management Company. The company specialized in custom Commercial and Industrial construction projects. As Vice President and Treasurer, his responsibilities included management of all traditional accounting functions, project feasibility studies for clients,  startup costs determination, critical path planning,  and ongoing project cost variance analysis. During his tenure, Dr. Tom worked closely with clients on a multitude of projects and client based activities including  space planning and feasibility studies, and acted as liaison to local government zoning, planning and building commissions.   Later after pursuing a Medical Degree, he established his medical practice and served on numerous Medical Staff Committees and was an active member of the Board of Directors of  several Independent Physician Associations where he acted  as utilization and review director.  During that time he successfully created and developed  a Medical Software Enterprise Suite  with advanced EDI capabilities for the small to medium sized Medical Practices.

Mary Ann and Dr. Tom founded Pet Care Business Consultants LLC  and they have been serving the Pet Care Services Industry since 1999 by providing professionally developed business development tools, consulting services, space planning, feasibility and site analysis services, and complete business plan writing services for individuals who have had a desire to follow their passion to care for pets by entering the Pet Care Services Industry.

Mary Ann and Dr. Tom developed their own $1.5 million dollar Kennel and Dog day Care in El Mirage Arizona. The project received loan approval from the Small Business Administration  in 10 business days. The banking representative,  who has financed over 40 major pet care service business projects,  stated that she had never seen a more comprehensive, detailed, and well supported pet care business plan and that the rapid loan approval was a reflection of the comprehensive nature and quality of the business proposition articulated in the business plan.
